Welcome To Animal Care Centers

About Our Animal Hospital serving Mt Olive and Roxbury, NJ and surrounding areas.

As pet owners ourselves, we understand the vital role a pet plays in the family. Our common goal is to offer client education, preventative care and medical treatment that best services the needs of our patients and their families. Since 1998, Animal Care Centers has provided, with a gentle hand and a compassionate heart, the same quality care expected for our own pets.

The relocation/expansion of our Flanders facility in June 2005 has enabled our staff to better diagnose and treat your pet, through state of the art laboratory equipment. Animal Care Centers is owned and operated by Drs. Chris Hallihan and Kristen Casulli, with tremendous help from their hard working staff.

Animal Care Centers is one of the most respected animal hospitals in Morris County, NJ. In addition to our state of the art facility we also offer, boarding for a variety of animals, wellness plans, exotic pet care, oncology and pain management.

An Update for Our Animal Care Centers Families,

With the rapidly changing dynamics associated with both the guidelines and management of all related to COVID 19, Animal Care Centers continues to spend much time in consideration of how to provide the very best in care for your 'furry family' while ensuring the very safest environment for their family…you!  We have so appreciated the positive feedback that has been provided to us regarding the steps that we have taken thus far.  As we continue to evaluate overall best practices during these unprecedented days, we have updated our temporary protocols to better serve you….

Hours of Operation

To ensure compliance with suggested federal, state and local guidelines, we have adjusted our hours in both of our locations as follows:

Flanders Landing
Monday 8:30 AM – 7 PM 8:30 AM – 7 PM
Tuesday 8:30 AM – 7 PM 8:30 AM – 7 PM
Wednesday 8:30 AM – 7 PM 8:30 AM – 7 PM
Thursday 8:30 AM – 7 PM 8:30 AM – 7 PM
Friday 8:30 AM – 6 PM 8:30 AM – 6 PM
Saturday 8:30 AM – 12 Noon 8:30 AM – 12 Noon

(Our Boarding Facility in Flanders will also remain fully operational during this same temporary period.)

Limiting Exposure and Supporting 'Social Distancing'

As we continue to look for better ways to protect both you and the Animal Care Centers staff who provide the care that you have come to rely on, we are introducing these revised procedures for checking-in, your visit and checking-out…

Checking-In:   When you arrive at either our Flanders or Landing offices, we would ask you to please call the respective office from your personal vehicle.  Your Animal Care Centers Team member will take care of your check-in remotely and will work closely with you to guide you through the process.

Your Appointment:

Wellness Visits

If you have chosen to manage your appointment by drop-off, Your Animal Care Centers technician will greet you and your pet at your vehicle and will escort your pet into the clinic.  Should there be time before their appointment begins, our boarding team will have a number of fun activities to pass the time!

If you would like to wait at the clinic during your pet's wellness visit, we do ask that you remain in your personal vehicle or take advantage of one of our bench seating areas should weather permit!

Whether you choose to drop off or wait, your Animal Care Centers team will engage you using a preferred method of communication during and/or immediately following the appointment time.  The ability to answer your questions and provide you with important information remains a key component of your pet's Wellness Visit.

Symptom-Based Visits

We recognize the concern that is felt when our pets are struggling in any way.  Though we do still strongly encourage families to consider either our drop off service or our option to wait in one of our outdoor seating areas (weather permitting) or in a personal vehicle, should you desire to be present during the appointment, we will work closely with you to limit you time and exposure in our common areas.  Our Reception and Technician teams will help to guide you through this process

Checking-Out:

All necessary paperwork from your visit can also be handled remotely with our Technician and Reception teams coming to you…outside of the building!

Discharge Appointments

For all procedures that require discharge appointments, we are pleased offer similar remote engagements.  Our doctors and technician staff will be available to schedule and conduct such appointments by phone.  Corresponding documentation can be emailed or provided when pets are picked-up.

Prescription and Food Refills

All refills for both medication and food prescriptions can be fully managed, in most cases, without a need to step into the office.  Such needs can be called in and concluded over the phone.  With a quick phone call upon arrival, our staff will deliver items to clients without having to step outside of their car, should that be preferred.

Paperwork

Realizing that even in our paperless world, we still manage paperwork, we are pleased to be able to offer more opportunities for emailed correspondences.  Pre-procedure estimates, receipts, instructions and informational documentation can all be managed in this manner.  (For documentation that currently require signatures, we will accept two verbal confirmations.)

For Our Clients who are Ill or Concerned of the Potential…

In support of the continued health and wellbeing of our staff and all who visit our offices as well as in protection for the worsening of any condition, we would ask that anyone who is currently ill (whether or not related to COVID-19) to refrain from coming to the office.  Similarly, in support of the recommendations of the CDC and WHO, if you are uncertain of any potential exposure, we would also ask, for the same reasons, that trips to the Animal Care Centers office be avoided.

Phone Consultations

Should coming to one of our offices be a concern, our doctors are both pleased and prepared to consult with you by phone and/or other electronic methods.  In such cases, treatment needs and protocols will be determined on an individual (and confidential) basis.

Utilizing Your Animal Care Centers Team

Thank You…for your trust and for your partnership.  Times such as these can be difficult to navigate.  Should you have any questions or concerns related to the health or well-being of a pet(s), please feel free to call us anytime.  Though our processes have been temporary altered, our commitment to provide you the very best in veterinary care has not.   The 'Care' in our name is not an accident, it is the principal that governs all that we do!

With Warm Regards,
Chris, Kristen and ALL of your Animal Care Centers Team Members
